Dreams are weird.

I've been keeping a dream journal for some time now. I find dreams fascinating. It's bizarre some of the things that my mind can conjure up for me to dream about. Anyways, I'll share one with you today.

The dream began with my younger brother and I driving my mom's car. We were on an errand of some sort, and had to drive past the major city of New Orleans to get to our destination. I couldn't manage to keep the car on the road and I repeatedly hit stop signs, missed turns, and drove into ditches. We found a toy store and went inside, but didn't buy anything. We somehow ended up on a long dirt road with a dead end, so we had to back up the car. It wouldn't back up straight and kept running off of the road into large dirt trenches that lined the edges of the road. A friend of mine showed up to help us out and we raced each other down the road, laughing. We ditched the car and were suddenly riding bikes through the remnants of 1950s vegas, complete with dilapidated neon signs reading "HOTEL" and "CASINO" and the like. We then rode into a place that looked the same as a church I went to when I was 9 or 10, but it had no walls. I went to the restroom and looked in the mirror, I was covered in sweat. A kid asked me on my way out if they were going to open up the bike course. I shrugged and woke up immediately afterwards.

Like I said, dreams are weird.

A walk in the rain.

I like to take walks. Well, I hate them, too. We have a rough relationship, I guess. I hate them when my dog (who's getting up in the years) whines and whines until I take him out, only to dig into garbage and wander aimlessly. However, amidst prying old steak bones from dogmouths (our idiot neighbors barbeque things and toss the remnants on the ground a lot...), I get a lot of thinking time in, and that's what I love about walking.

Especially when it's raining.

I absolutely love the rain. The sound of it on my window, the smell of the semi-wet asphalt of the apartment complex where I live, the feeling of having rain between your toes when you step in a puddle.

And a walk in the rain was just what I needed today.

Mandatory Introduction

Hello world! Hah, programming joke. Too bad I won't be programming, because I'm absolutely horrible at it.

As you may or may not have been able to discern from the title of this blog, I plan to discuss topics of the somewhat philosophical nature. I also plan to discuss various principles relating to all subjects, including, but not limited to business, family, government, art, movies, music, the list goes on. Sounds like a blast, right?

Here's to a plethora of palatable ponderings on peoples' petty principles. Heheh, I'm witty.
